2012 TL Shows Off New Styling for VA Acura Shoppers

Performance-wise, VA Acura shoppers can test drive the 2012 Acura TL’s new Sequential SportShift 6-speed transmission that is applied to all 2012 TL’s that have an automatic transmission. While improving fuel economy (20-29mpg), this model does not lack on sports performance with a double-kick-down feature that allows the driver to command a double downshift. The Drive-By-Wire™ throttle system also creates a “blip” of the throttle to help match gear speeds while downshifting.

The 2012 Acura TL comes in two distinct versions consisting of the 280hp, front-wheel-drive TL and a 305hp TL that has Acura’s exclusive Super Handling All-Wheel Drive™ (SH-AWD).

The 2012 model offers a hard disk drive navigation space increase to 60 gigabytes from the 2011 model, more expansive map coverage, faster USB connection speed, and a fuller, brighter VGA monitor. There is also a new Advance Package that incorporates all-new ventilated front seats and a new blind spot information system that alerts the driver of other vehicles.

The 2012 TL comes standard with new 17×8 inch 7-spoke aluminum wheels with all-season tires for great year-round performance. The 2012 TL with the Advance Package comes with 18×8 inch 5-spoke wheels. The TL SH-AWD comes standard with 18×8 inch 5-spoke aluminum wheels with low-profile tires for better handling. The Advance Package TL SH-AWD comes with 19×8 inch split 5-spoke wheels.
